ESD has another fantastic award to announce- NAIOP ARIZONA CHAPTER selected the BALL CORPORATION Goodyear Plant as the Industrial Build to Suit project of the year! ESD provided mechanical and electrical engineering designs for the 495,000-square-foot facility which consists of primarily manufacturing areas, but also includes warehouse and office space. The CITY OF GOODYEAR AZ GOVERNMENT-based project required a fast track design process and construction schedule, therefore we could not be happier to have worked with such a great team throughout the process (MERIT PARTNERSBUTLER DESIGN GROUPTHE RENAISSANCE COMPANIES, and PK ASSOCIATES LLC,).

The aluminum can manufacturing facility has very high internal heat generation, therefore our designs included an area cooled with a 2,100-ton water-chilled adiabatic HVAC system, along with a high efficiency water cooled chiller plant and 12,470 Volt electrical distribution to multiple electrical services. This project is the largest/highest capacity aluminum can manufacturing plant not just in the United States, but in the World! At 20,000+ cans/minute, it is more than 2x the capacity of the next closest facility and produces almost 29 million cans every 24 hours.
