Glendale’s New Environmentally Friendly ‘Hero’s Park Regional Library’

HRPExterior.jpg

The City of Glendale opened the doors of their new library branch to the public in May of 2019. The West-Gilbert branch, “Heroes Park Regional Library,” was named in honor of all the heroes in Glendale’s community, and to recognize the current upstanding citizens of their city. Architecture by DFDG, the 7,500 square foot public space is a state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly building which features various sustainable practices and LEED® features. The MEP designs included digital climate control, LED lighting and timer switches, rainwater management, and water harvesting features. This municipal space will provide study rooms, youth story nook, outdoor patio, programming space and more.
