Hearne Plaza Parking Garage Lights Up Gilbert
Providing MEP designs for the new 600 space Hearne Plaza Parking Garage was an engineer's dream. Specialty LED lighting was incorporated throughout the garage as well as external LED lighting designs to reflect the aesthetic cohesiveness of the Downtown Gilbert Heritage District.

2018 IECC Codes Have Arrived
The 2018 IECC Codes have been released and ESD's engineers are very passionate about sharing their knowledge with architectural firms. We have recently provided presentations to a handful of firms, and continue to seek companies that may be interested in learning more about Arizona cities' current codes.
Promotion Announcement of Halleh, Henry and Ali
We are pleased to announce the promotion of Halleh Landon, P.E. | LEED AP BD+C (electrical engineer), Ali Ardebili, P.E. (mechanical engineer), and Henry Melcher, P.E. | LEED AP BD+C | C.E.M. (mechanical engineer) as Principals of Energy Systems Design (ESD). Ali will transition into the Mechanical Department Head of our Scottsdale Headquarters as Henry becomes the Director of the Austin, Texas office.
Transformation of the Peoria City Complex
The City of Peoria City Complex faced many ongoing challenges over the years, including water quality issues at their cooling tower and costly inefficient and failing chiller compressors. ESD coordinated a detailed, phased construction plan and worked under the constraints of space limitations, noise issues, and project budget for the new cooling system; in collaboration with DFDG Architecture, Logan Simpson, Haydon BC, and TD Industries Inc.
